Room At The Inn is a transitional living program for local teen mothers and their children. Up to four mothers and their children can live in Room at the Inn at one time. The program was begun in 2000, and came about through the gift of an apartment by Mr. Charles Beck. After a year of renovations and much hard work by parish members and community members, Room at the Inn was opened. Room At The Inn also hosts the Saving Grace Thrift Shop, which opened in July of 1999. The thrift shop includes adult clothing, knick-knacks, and furniture. The shop is filled with quality infants and children's clothing, toys, books, and winter coats. Also in this room is an emergency pantry for parents, which carries a supply of diapers, formula, medicine, etc. Room At The Inn recently received four boxes of babies clothes from the Women of the ELCA chapter in Glendale. A special thank you to Wilma Jagusch and Pastor Rose Ann Foege for their continued support of Room At The Inn and Saving Grace Thrift Shop. Room At The Inn is always in need of donations, including quality clothing, diapers, formula, furniture, and cash donations to help defray the cost of maintaining the apartments. If you are interested in helping continue the ministry of Room at the Inn, please contact Pastor Kit or send donations to: Room at the Inn |
